# Avoiding Scams

As there is a lot of community interest in the project, scammers are and will continue to try to take advantage of it. Especially given our upcoming TGE and [airdrop](/good-token/airdrops.md).

Be on the lookout for scams with all the communication you receive. Follow these simple rules to make sure you don't fall victim to them:

1\) Always check our official channels. If there is any announcement, it will appear on all (or at least most) of them. Seek confirmation from several official sources.\
Our website: [`https://goodcrypto.app`](https://goodcrypto.app)\
Telegram channel: [`https://t.me/goodcrypto_ann`](https://t.me/goodcrypto_ann)\
Telegram chat: [`https://t.me/goodcrypto`](https://t.me/goodcrypto)\
Twitter: [`https://twitter.com/GoodCryptoApp`](https://twitter.com/GoodCryptoApp)

2\) If you receive an email that looks like it's coming from us - immediately check the sender address. Not its name or alias but the actual email address it was sent from. If it comes from any other domain than `@goodcrypto.app` - it's scam! \
All our announcements come from `team(at)goodcrypto.app`.\
Service emails come from `info(at)goodcrypto.app`.\
Also always check the links in the email - if they lead to any other domain than `goodcrypto.app` - it's scam! \
Known attack vectors: \
\- emails coming from domains similar to `goodcrypto.app`;\
\- emails sent from third-party services like SurveyMonkey and Substack;\
\- links to websites mimicking our official website and/or having similar domain names.

3\) We will never contact you on Telegram or social media first.\
If you are contacted by someone pretending to be us - always check the user name.\
Fake accounts will have our real pictures and *similar* but not 100% identical user names.\
If account does not have a user name - it's scam.

{% hint style="warning" %}
If you find yourself on a website that you think is us - never connect your wallet or sign anything with it. `goodcryptoX wallet` will be used for all upcoming activities.
{% endhint %}

Remember, if it sounds too good to be true - it probably is.
